RUN Winschoten is not only about runners and times. The event comes alive thanks to the thousands of spectators along the course and thanks to the volunteers who make everything possible. Family members, friends, colleagues and supporters come to cheer on the participants.
Volunteers are indispensable in 2026 as well. And this year is extra special: the RUN celebrates its 50th edition. An anniversary that will be bigger, livelier and more special than ever. That is exactly why you want to be there!

The RUN organisation consists of 9 committees, each with its own task and responsibility. Each committee has a committee lead and a team of members. Together they ensure a safe, well-organised and vibrant event.
Whether you like being active outdoors, enjoy working with people, or prefer to support behind the scenes: there is always a volunteer role that suits you.

When can you help?
Volunteers are welcome in the weeks leading up to the RUN and of course on the days themselves. Many volunteers have been helping for years, others join for the first time. What they have in common: the feeling that you are part of the RUN organisation.
An anniversary to experience
